BBL Giants kick up a late Storm
Manchester Giants winning streak in the Dairylea Dunkers Championship was extended to eleven games on Friday night at MEN Arena, Derby Storm their latest victims by a 86-74 scoreline.
The two sides were meeting for the second time in seven days but like their previous encounter at the Thunderdome, it was the Northern leaders who ended up on top to condemn Derby to their fourth loss in a row.
The Midlands outfit trailed 38-31 at half-time but soon began to put the pressure on their hosts.
In the fourth quarter Giants required a 15-2 tear to go from 65-67 down to 80-69 ahead. Roy Hairston led the way for the home side with 24 points, whilst Kip Stone matched that for the visitors.
