Polonia Polonia have secured their third
successive Scottish Women's League title, beating Dalkeith Saints 52-47
in their penultimate match.
Despite the absence of two key players,
Polonia were too strong for a Dalkieth team already focusing on their forthcoming
Cup Final appearance. The Saints rallied in the second half but with the
game's top scorer Lesley Jackson notching 20 for Polonia, the result
and eventual celebrations were never in doubt.
