NBL goes All-Star
The teams for the annual NBL Division One
Mens All Star match, to be held at
the Guildford Spectrum (1.00 p.m.) on
Sunday 14th March, were announced by the English Basketball Association.
The Men's line up includes two former Budweiser League All-Star picks and
sees brothers Neil and Alan Hopper facing each other on the rival teams.
Coaching the teams are Teesside's Tony Hanson and the man who he thwarted
in January's Trophy final, Plymouth's Gary Stronach. The number of overseas
players are restricted in the NBL's showpiece game in a bid to promote
homegrown talent. The South hold a 3-1 all time lead in the event.
