Richmond Jaguars lifted up to their hype by completing a clean sweep of the available silverware in the NBL in their very first season in existence. Assuming the spot of Bury & Bolton, Charles Bannerman's Jaguars team lost only two games all, taking the Division One league, Championship and Trophy, in all three just ahead of powerful Plymouth Raiders. Success was short lived, Jaguars' millionaire backer pulled out just prior to the season's end, and Jaguars would not defend their spoils the next season. |

Purchased and now coached by British basketball legend Alan Cunningham, Solent Stars enjoyed a glorious season to evoke memories of their seasons at the very top. Stars were handed only two losses all season, one at home, and captured the Division Two Championship at season's end, although pushed extremely hard by London Towers B Unit. |

Yet again, the Hatters from Sheffield dominated British Basketball, although for once their aura of invincibility found itself scratched a little. Beginning the campaign by lifting the BIBF Cup, Hatters suffered only one loss in the league campaign before securing yet another Championship in Manchester. Their opponents there, Thames Valley Lady Tigers, showed that they were capable of challenging Hatters' supremacy, taking advantage of a rare slump on the part of the Sheffield side to take the EBBA National Cup in January by an astounding 68-45 scoreline. |
