Birmingham Bullets grabbed a share of the NEBL Pool A leadership on Wednesday night, improving their record to 3-0 with a 94-87 win over Russian side Samara at Aston Villa.

The hosts started slow to trail by as much as 16 points during the opening stanza but rebounded for a four points lead by half-time.

Rashod Johnson - who missed  Bullets' 88-83 victory over Kiev on Tuesday - then put on a majestic third-quarter performance to guide his team to a 78-63 lead which they never relinquished.

Johnson led all scorers with 30 points and added 7 steals while Ben Walker added 22 points of his own while according to coach Lance Randall "along with Emiko Etete playing some tough defence of (Samara's) Jay Wiley ".
