Sheffield Hatters duly completed the sweep of NBL Women's titles on Sunday, defeating season-long rivals Rhondda Rebels 74-60 to complete the set of League, Cup and Championship.
The two clubs were separated only by head to head record after ending the Division One campaign on equal points. But at the Coventry Skydome, Betty Codona's side burst into an early 23-11 advantage and were never troubled.
American centre Andrea Kagie led the victors with 26 points, a tally matched by Rhondda's Missy Lender.

The opening exchanges were close, but when Stockport’s American centre Jen Robinson picked up her third foul midway through the first quarter, and was rested until the second half, Birmingham were able to put together a 16-1 run that took them from 8-11 into a 24-12 lead.
A low scoring second quarter kept Lapwings in the hunt, at 35-24, but a 9-2 run part way through the third gave Birmingham a 49-31 advantage which they never seemed likely to lose, and they ran out comfortable winners, 70-53.
Stockport’s Jo Clayden led all scorers with 25, but Anita Renton’s four 3-pointers (from five attempts) in a fifteen point haul rightly brought her the MVP award for the game.
