Winless London sloping out of Euroleague

Euroleague, Group B
Kinder London Towers 75 (18,36,52) (Myers 24, Eppehimer 20, Allen/Youngblood 8)
Peristeri (GRE) 87 (19,42,58) (Esartsaris 24, Wojcik 19, Dinkins 16)

Kinder London Towers slipped to their 12 straight defeat in the EuroLeague on Thursday night, losing at home to the Greek side Peristeri 87-75 as their ignominious campaign continued.

The Towers however put up stiff resistance for three quarters before succumbing to an early 10-0 fourth quarter burst from the visitors who had lost their six previous matches in the competition. Terrell Myers once again led the Towers with four three pointers in his game high 24 points, while Constantinos Esartsaris had 23 for Peristeri.

With two rounds left in the initial stage, Kinder Bologna advanced out of Group B with an 85-89 decision on the road at Union Olimpija, which fell to fifth place. Second-place now belongs solely to Barcelona, a 72-92 winner at Zalgiris Kaunas, while Ulker joined Opel Skyliners in third place by prevailing in their 78-76 thriller in Istanbul.
