Towers Euro agony
Kinder London Towers slipped to their tenth
straight defeat in the EuroLeague with a 77-94 reverse against the Frankfurt
Skyliners on Thursday night at Crystal Palace.
After finishing the first quarter on level
terms at 21-21 the Towers could not contain Marcus Goree who scored 12
of his 28 points in the second quarter.
Towers Terrell Myers led the resistance
with 19 points but could do nothing to prevent his side trailing 73-55
at the three quarter which put the game beyond reach.
In other Group B games played on Thursday,
Ülker Istanbul suffered a 51-75 home mauling to Kinder Bologna while
Olimpija Ljubliana racked up an 70-81 away win at Zalgiris Kaunas. Completing
a sweep of away sides, Peristeri were dealt a 72-101 loss at home to Barcelona
on Wednesday.
