There was no Kinder surprise in Bologna.
Two teams who share a sponsor have had little else in common on court in the Euroleague this term, the reigning champions boasting a perfect record thus far, their London counterparts without a win.
However Lino Frattin's Towers put up a brave fight, holding the upper hand in their first quarter and a bit of their Thursday night visit to Italy before natural order was restored, Ettoe Messina's star-studded selection recovering after half-time for a 94-72 victory which keeps them top of the Group B standings with a 5-0 record.
Towers kept with their mighty opponents for a half, tied 41-41 at half-time following early runs of 7-0 and 9-2 plus an 11-3 second quarter tear.
However, the hosts outscored the Towers 34-14 in the third quarter to post an unassailable 75-55 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The closest the Londoners got in the final period was 79-68, following a 13-2 run, but Kinder then pulled away again to seal the win.
John White and Terrell Myers each bagged 16 points each for Towers, but it was Emanuel Ginobili who led all scorers with 31.
