Sheffield reached their second BBL Championship final in franchise history
thanks to a comfortable 107-84 victory over the Kinder London Towers in
the semi-finals.
Sheffield dominated
the game from start to finish opening with a 9-2 burst to take an early
16-7 lead, which they maintained to lead 28-22 after the first. Towers
came back with a 9-3 tear to tie the game at 31-31 at the start of the
second, but Sharks opened up midway through the quarter with a 13-0 in
just over three minutes to take the score out to 55-37, and ultimately
lead 57-41 at the half.
The third quarter
saw the Towers cut the deficit to eight with a 13-3 burst to trim the score
back to 68-60 in Sheffield's favour. The fourth period saw Sheffield
open with an 11-2 tear to lead 92-75, which they would not relinquish.
Terrell Myers led all scorers with 32 points for the Towers, while Lynard
Stewart led the Sharks scorers with 24.
