Leopards dodge the Bullets

Thames Valley Tigers 76 (15,36,65) (Bowman 22, Jamison 17, Davis 10)
Milton Keynes Lions 79 (19,37,58) (Payne/Noel 17, Lloyd/Alleyne 12)

Milton Keynes Lions kept alive their hopes of reaching the BBL playoffs with an
incredible 79-76 road victory over the Thames Valley Tigers.

The Tigers look to be coasting to victory enjoying a 75-65 lead with 7 minutes remaining
only for some stubborn Lions defense to allow them just a single point in the remainder
of the game as they rattled off 14 points at the other end. Veteran Leon Noel helped
provide the offensive threat scoring two three pointers and a basket in the final 14
point burst. Tigers Barry Bowman led all scorers with 22 points but his side now have a
mountain to climb to make the playoffs.

Pertemps Bullets Birmingham 80 (25,37,59) (Johnson 27, O'Connell 17, Bailey 14)
Leopards Kool Kats 86 (19,41,60) (Robinson 19, Dantzler 16, Brown/Kimbrough 15)

Leopards kept alive their BBL Championship Southern Conference title hopes and
all but confirmed their berth in the BBL Championship playoffs with a tricky 86-80 victory
over the Pertemps Bullets Birmingham on Saturday night.

The Leopards led for much of the game after recovering from an early Rashod Johnson blitz
who scored 12 to help Bullets to a 15-3 lead. Leopards held a crucial 80-77 lead going
into the final minutes and despite a three pointer from Rob Paternostro held on to win
the game from the charity stripe.

Derby Storm 84 (26,46,66) (Griffin/Robinson 25, Peterson 16)
Leicester Riders 89 (15,35,53)  (Johnson 25, Blalock 24, Singleton 18)

Leicester Riders kept alive their slim hopes of sneaking into the playoffs backdoor with a unconvincing 89-84 success over the Derby Storm on Saturday night.

The Storm looked to be heading for a rare victory in their final home game of the season
leading 61-43 with 13 minutes of the encounter remaining. The Riders however had other
ideas outscoring their hosts 36-18 in the final quarter led by Ralph Blalocks 15 final
quarter points to sneak the win.
