Edinburgh Rocks 80  (20,36,58)  (Gaines 21, Graves/Gardner 12)
Kinder London Towers  111  (29,54,87)  (Myers/White 22, Eppehimer 16)

Kinder London Towers shot themselves back to outright first place in the Southern Conference with a 111-80 victory over Edinburgh Rocks and, in tandem with inactive Brighton, became one of the first two sides to clinch play-off spots in the South.

The guests netted an impressive 14-for-32 from three-point range as they led from start to finish. Runs of 11-0 and 8-0 in the second period by London had them 54-36 ahead at the break. Another 11 unanswered in the third made the game safe and Towers lead peaked at 107-69 late in the fourth. Terrell Myers and John White shared 44 points for the Towers, whilst Jon Gaines hit 21 to lead the Rocks.

"We'll not get carried away over one game," stated Towers coach David Lindstrom. "But we played exceptionally well, especially defensively."

Leicester Riders 71  (15,36,60)  (New 23, Singleton/Blalock 17)
Thames Valley Tigers  74  (24,43,58)  (Bowman 23, Robinson 12, Martin 10)

Thames Valley Tigers ended a five game losing streak to re-kindle their play-off aspirations with a 74-71 victory at Leicester Riders.

A 10-0 first quarter burst put the Tigers in front and they lead for much of the match without ever shaking Leicester off.

Two Michael New three pointers hauled the Riders from 65-72 behind to 71-72 down, before Shawn Jamison made it 74-71. Riders had four attempts to tie in the final 50s, but all of their three-pointers rimmed out.

New and Barry Bowman both chipped in 23 points.

Chester Jets 106  (27,51,75)  (Davis 29, Thomas 20, Cameron 17
Derby Storm  82  (15,40,58)  (Robinson 23, Griffin 15, Peterson 14)

Chester Jets can now claim the Northern Conference title with victory over Westfield Sharks
Sheffield on Thursday night after a 106-82 success over Derby Storm.

A 15-3 first quarter run set Jets on their way to a 12-point first quarter advantage. Chester kept the Storm at arm’s length in the second, but Shawn Kennedy sparked an 11-4 run by the visitors to close back to 61-55 midway through the third quarter. Chester, though, hit the next nine points and never looked back from there.

Calvin Davis led the way with 29 points, while Durrell Robinson netted 23 for Derby.

Leopards Kool Kats 90  (17,49,67)  (Robinson 22, Alderson 18, Kimbrough 15)
Pertemps Bullets Birmingham  82  (22,32,55)  (Paternostro/Bailey/Johnson 20)

Leopards Kool Kats put a six-point gap between themselves and Birmingham in the Southern Conference table with a 90-82 victory at Brentwood.

Leopards hit 15 unanswered points in the second quarter on their way to outscoring the Bullets 32-10. With Leopards dominating the boards – out-rebounding Birmingham 59-29 and having three players post double-doubles – the Bullets could get no closer than six.

Maurice Robinson led all scorers with 22 points whilst Rob Paternostro, Brant Bailey and Rashod Johnson all bagged 20 for the Bullets who are now in real danger of missing the play-offs.

Milton Keynes Lions 79  (25,46,64)  (Brown 21, Lloyd 19, Siemon/Payne 13)
Newcastle Eagles  83  (23,45,65)  (Myers 26, Leak/Walker 17)

Newcastle Eagles scored four points in the final two seconds to snatch an 83-79 victory over Milton Keynes Lions.

There was nothing between the sides in the first half, but in the third period the BBL Trophy runners-up opened up a 64-53 advantage. Newcastle, however, netted the last 12 points of the quarter to edge back in front. The Eagles led 77-72 with 3.49 remaining, but two minutes later the sides were level at 79. So it remained until Shawn Myers netted with 2s left on the clock.

After a time-out, Jason Siemon overcooked his inbound pass and threw the ball right out of court at the other end, allowing Jeremy Hyatt then sealed the win from the line with 1.2s on the clock. Myers led all scorers with 26, whilst Jermaine Brown had 21 for the Lions.
