Sheffield secured their seventh straight win in all competitions with a
91-53 BBL
Championship success
at home to Derby Storm on Sunday afternoon. Sharks dominated the game from
tip to buzzer, leading by as many as 39 points towards the end of the final
quarter. In particular, Chris Finch's men put up their strongest push during
the third quarter, bagging a 23-5 run to all but end Derby's chances. Every
member of the Sharks roster got on the scoresheet, but it was Nate Reinking
who led all scorers with 14 personal points; Kevin Griffin added 12 for
the visiting Storm.

Chester Jets maintained
a two-point lead at the top of the BBL Championship Northern Conference,
thanks to a 113-94
success over Brighton Bears on Sunday evening. Jets lost James Hamilton
to an ankle injury seven minutes into the game and he was not seen again.
Nevertheless, Jets managed to pull out a 28-19 first quarter advantage.
Bears reduced the arrears to a single point at 32-31, following a 12-0
burst, but Jets then hit back to lead 51-39 at half-time. Runs of 9-2 and
9-0
extended Jets lead
to 75-55 by the end of the third and they never looked back. Jets' Calvin
Davis
led all scorers
with 33 points, Albert White added 30 for the visitors.

extended their lead at the top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference
to six points, thanks to a 97-83 success over Pertemps Bullets Birmingham
on Sunday evening. Bulets started the stronger and bagged 11 early
points to lead 11-3. Indeed, they edged the first half, leading 45-40 at
the midway point. However, Towers rallied in the third quarter to lead
65-63 heading into the final quarter and then extended that lead in the
final period. Terrell Myers was the star man with a game-high 32 points
for Towers. Rashod Johnson added 24 for Bullets, who were without Antonio
Garcia because of injury.

Newcastle Eagles
closed the gap on third-placed Nurishment Leicester Riders to four points
thanks to a 105-94 success over the East Midlands' outfit on Sunday evening.
Riders just edged the first
quarter, leading
25-22, but Eagles hit back strongly in the second quarter and turned that
5-point
deficit into a 9-point
half-time lead at 49-40. Riders narrowed the margin slightly in the third
period, trailing 70-64 at the end of the quarter and Eagles then maintained
that advantage throughout the fourth quarter. Jeremy Hyatt bagged a game-high
33 points for Newcastle, while Tim
Moore scored 27
points on his return to the Riders' side.

Edinburgh Rocks stormed
to their best win of the BBL Championship season to date, coming from 15
points down to tame Milton Keynes Lions 78-68 at Meadowbank. Canadian giant
Brendan Graves led the charge in the third quarter as Kevin Wall's men
fired 15 in a row to go in front. The
Lions roared back
to level but the Rocks held on in a tight finish to score their fourth
win of the season. Graves led all scorers with 23 points adding 12 rebounds.
"That has to be our
best game so far," stated Wall. "Our defence in the second half was as
good as I've seen in the league this season, period."
