Kinder London Towers took the spoils in the first meeting of the season with Leopards, edging a thrilling encounter 93-89.

Towers seven unanswered points in the second quarter were wiped out by 11 without reply from the Leopards to help the home side into a 52-45 half-time lead. Towers levelled the game at 66 with a 6-0 burst only for Leopards to hit the last five of the third quarter. A 10-0 Towers run set up a barn-storming finish and Brett Eppehimer's extremely long three-pointer 40s from the buzzer tilted it Towers way.

Pertemps Bullets Birmingham claimed their fifth win of the campaign with an 85-77 success
over midland rivals Derby Storm.

The game was pretty tight for the opening 20 minutes before a 15-2 start to the second half by the home side had them 54-36 ahead. Derby rallied in the final quarter as Durrell Robinson his five in a row to finish a 15-3 tear and make it 73-71. Bullets, though, held their composure from the foul line in the dying minutes.

Westfield Sharks Sheffield 82 (21,35,55) (Phoenix 25, Reinking 17, McKinney 13)

Westfield Sharks Sheffield came from behind to defeat Thames Valley Tigers 82-79 and move within two points of Northern Conference leaders Chester Jets.

Thames Valley led for almost all of the second half after a 13-2 burst in the third quarter, but Sheffield replied 10-1 to keep in the game. With Thames Valley in foul trouble the Sharks snatched their first lead of the second half when Justin Phoenix 56s from the buzzer and a three-pointer from Iain McKinney 16s later gave them an 80-77 cushion which they kept.
