London Towers opened up a two point lead at the top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference with a comfortable 94-75 success over the Newcastle Eagles on Thursday night. 

The Towers trailed 48-41 at the half time interval but after starting the 2nd half with 7 straight points to draw level they took controlscoring 12 without reply in the final quarter to make the game safe at 78-63. Towers Terrell Myers led all scorers with 32 points.

All-Star laden Chester Jets survived a late scare to record a 94-89 victory over the Milton Keynes Lions and open up a four point lead at the top of the BBL Championship Northern Conference. 

The Jets thanks to some fine permiter shooting from Pero Cameron opened up a comfortable 76-56 third quarter advantage and looked to have made the game safe. The Lions however posted a late 19-2 tear to close within three points with 22s remaining only for Reggie Kirk to miss the long range effort that could have forced the extra period.
