BBL Championship
Chester Jets                   107     (27,52,77)       (Davis/Cameron 23, McCord 22)
Edinburgh Rocks             85     (19,35,55)       (Berry 24, Gaines 20, Graves/Gardner 13)

Chester Jets won their game in hand over Westfield Sharks Sheffield to open up a two point
lead at the top of the Northern Conference at the end of 2001 after a 107-85 victory over Edinburgh Rocks. The Scottish side led for much of the first period before Chester ended the quarter with a 12-3 burst including back-to-back threes from Pero Cameron. Jets then started the second quarter with a 19-5 burst and with Rocks in foul trouble - Ted Berry, Jon Gaines, Ryan Huntley and Roy Gardner all had three fouls and Brendan Graves four before the break - there was no way back. Calvin Davis had 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks to led the Jets while Ted Berry led all scorers with 24.

Brighton Bears                             82     (20,39,62)       (Davis 33, Duck 18, Johnson 14)
Kinder London Towers                83     (19,40,58)       (Myers 27, White 20, Eppehimer 12)

Kinder London Towers will go into 2002 top of the Southern Conference after a gripping 83-82 victory over Brighton Bears. The game was pretty close but both team enjoyed a nine-point lead - Towers in the second quarter 40-31 and Bears in the third 62-53. Terrell Myers exploded in the fourth quarter netting over half his points including four three-pointers. The last of which put Towers 83-78 ahead a minute from the end but two free throws from Albert White and Sterling Davis and a 24s violation by the Towers gave Bears the ball with 7.9s left and the score 82-83.

Wil Johnson's inside shot didn't drop, however, and neither did Michael Brown's long-range effort as the horn sounded, to ensure Towers a 21st win in 22 games against the Bears.
