Brighton Bears claimed their ninth victory in ten outings following a 95-83 success over the Edinburgh Rocks and climbed into second place in the Southern Conference in the process. 

With Sterling Davis netting 25 of his game-high 33 points in the first half, Brighton opened up a 52-37 half-time advantage. Ted Berry (31 points) helped the Rocks back to within four at 68-72, but it wasn't enough to stop the Bears good run of form. 

Albert White and Brendan Graves also had good offensive nights bagging over 20 points each.

Westfield Sharks Sheffield ended their BBL Trophy group campaign with a fourth win. They led from start to finish against Pertemps Bullets Birmingham to win 91-80. 

Sheffield outscored their visitors two to one in the first quarter to lead 24-12 and they never looked back. Justin Phoenix led the Sharks with 17 points and four of his team-mates also posted double figure points including former captain Todd Cauthorn (13) on his return to Sheffield. 

Rashod Johnson put up the most resistance with a game high 22 points.
