BBL Championship

Chester Jets 82 (23,51,65) (Thomas 23, McCord 21, Hamilton/Davis 15)
Westfield Sharks Sheffield 90 (20,40,62) (Stewart 22, Phoenix/Scantlebury 17)

Westfield Sharks Sheffield came from behind to defeat Northern Conference rivals Chester Jets
90-82 at the Northgate Arena on Friday evening. The hometown Jets edged the first half to lead
51-40 at the midway point, but Sharks fought back and a 7-point burst in the third quarter
reduced the arrears to three points at 61-58. When Jets were kept scoreless for four minutes in
the final quarter, as Sharks bagged 16 straight points, the game turned irreversibly Sheffield's
way. Lynard Stewart led Sharks scoring with 22 points, while Chester's John Thomas led all
scorers with 23.

Newcastle Eagles 82 (30,51,65) (Myers 22, Leak 20, Hyatt 19)
Brighton Bears 95 (21,49,73) (White 23, Duck 21, Brown 18)
Brighton Bears overcame Newcastle Eagles on the road on Friday night to post a 95-82
success in the BBL Championship, which puts them just two points behind Southern
Conference leaders Thames Valley with a game in hand. Albert White led the way for Bears,
with a game-high 23 points, as Brighton bossed the second and third quarters to turn a 30-21
Eagles' first quarter lead into a 73-65 Bears' advantage by the end of the third period. Eagles
best player was Shawn Myers, who bagged 22 points for the home side to no avail.

DG London Leopards Kool Kats 70 (19,31,47) (Robinson 21, Alderson 19, Brown 13)
Milton Keynes Lions 83 (14,42,60) (Siemon 17, Lloyd 15, Kirk/Payne 14)
Milton Keynes Lions leap-frogged DG London Leopards Kool Kats into fourth place in the BBL
Championship Southern Conference, courtesy of an 83-70 win on the road on Friday night.
However, it was the hometown Leopards who started the brighter, enjoying a 10-0 run to lead
19-11 early on. However, an 11-0 start to the second quarter saw Lions take the lead at 25-21
and they never relinquished their advantage. All five of Lions' starting five scored in double
points, with Jason Siemon their top scorer with 17 personal points. Maurice Robinson added
21 for Leopards.
