Riders out of Trophy while Towers top Bears

BBL Championship
Kinder London Towers 94 (27,51,64) (Myers 25, Eppehimer 19, White 18)
Brighton Bears 86 (17,37,62) (White 38, Johnson 18, Duck 12)

London Towers went top of the Southern Conference after a 94-86 victory over Brighton Bears in a match re-scheduled after the postponement of the planned game against Manchester

Towers dominated the first half and by the half had opened up a 51-37 advantage. Albert White though set about dragging his team back in the game and the sides were level at 62 before the end of the third quarter. A three from White to start the fourth quarter gave Bears the lead, but it was to be their only one of the night as Towers won the game with some fine foul shooting. White led all
scorers with 38, whilst Terrell Myers bagged 25 for the Towers.

BBL Trophy, group stages
Derby Storm 108 (31,55,77) (Griffin 24, Kennedy 21, Miller 18)
Nurishment Leicester Riders 103 (23,46,) (Moore 29, Blalock 22, J Brown/Singleton 16)

Derby Storm took the spoils 108-103 in a thrilling local derby, the result leaves Leicester Riders unable to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Derby had the lead for the majority of a see-saw first half in which both sides enjoyed big runs.
The Storm looked to be cruising to victory when Leicester took a time-out 4.42 from the end with the score 96-80. But Riders full court press caused the Storm problems and a Ralph Blalock three made it 105-101 with 48s left. It wasn't enough though as Derby claimed their first trophy win.
