Leicester Riders put an end to the only 100% record in the BBL Championship  inflicting Chester Jets first defeat of the season in convincing fashion 105-88 on Saturday night.
 
Riders John Gaines made the decisive run scoring 12 in row in the final quarter to extend Riders 79-73 lead to put the game beyond doubt at 91-73. Earlier it had been the Jets who started the brighter leading 33-21 after a quarter. Riders Jermaine Brown led all scorers with 34 points.

Thames Valley Tigers warmed up for their NTL:Home National Cup Quarter Final with a convincing 89-75 road victory over the struggling Derby Storm.
 
The Tigers rained in an incredible 16 three pointers, 8 to Barry Bowman and 7 to Eric Burks, as after the Storm had trimmed a double figure advantage after a quarter to just 5 at half time, the Tigers responded with a 16-2 start to the 3rd to make the game safe at 56-37. Storms Kevin Griffen led all scorers with 31 points.
 

Edinburgh Rocks 85 (21,40,57) (Berry 25, Washington 17, Graves 15)
Manchester Giants 73 (15,37,60) (Mickens 32, Leahy 11, Martin 10)
 
Edinburgh Rocks season continued to gain momentum as they saw off the Manchester Giants
85-73 on Saturday night thanks to a late rally.
 
The Giants took the lead for the first time after a 12-0 tear at 29-27 and they still led 70-68 midway through the third. The Giants offence however siezed up as the Scots got into full flow as they outscored the visitors 17-3 to close out the game and claim the win which moved them up to fourth in the Northern standings.
 

Leopards  70 (10,36,54) (Robinson 19, Kimbrough 18, Alderson 13)
Westfield Sharks Sheffield 69 (22,31,48) (Reinking 17, Payne 16, Monaco 13)

Leopards continued their improved run of form inflicting Sheffield'ss third successive defeat 70-69 on Saturday night.
 
The Leopards gained revenge for their NTL:Home National Cup exit after bouncing back from an early 14-4 defecit and holding their nerve late on. The Leopards led 64-58 with three minutes remaining but Sharks Mike Payne had the chance to level the game with 3 late free throws with just 7s remaining. However having scored the first two he missed the third to leave his side just a point short at 70-69.
