London Towers came from behind to defeat Leicester Riders 98-96 in the BBL Championship on Thursday evening. Terrell Myers was the hero on his belated debut, as he hit the winning shot - a three pointer - 18 seconds from time. Riders, led by 29 points from Ralph Blalock, led for the first three quarters, before a Jeff Kent three pointer late in the third quarter which put Towers up 72-69. Riders were up again - 74-72 - heading into the final quarter, but Kent bagged 11 final quarter points, to help the Towers back into the game. Kent finished as the Towers' top scorer with 24 points. Michael New also made his Riders' debut, finishing the game with 9 points.

Thames Valley Tigers 68 (19,35,47) (Burks 25, Bowman 14, Butterworth 7)

Westfield Sharks Sheffield went joint top of the BBL Championship Northern Conference thanks to a 91-68 home success over Thames Valley Tigers on Thursday evening. New recruit, Lynard Stewart was in sparkling form with 20 points and 13 rebounds, in a game that Sharks dominated. Already leading 64-47 at the end of the third quarter, Chris Finch's team went on a 15-0 fourth quarter tear to lead 86-54 and make the result assured. Eric Burks was the Tigers' best man, leading all scorers with 25 points.
