Leicester
Riders strengthened their hold on the fourth and final post-season spot
in the BBL Championship Northern Conference with a hard fought 103-108
victory over the Thames Valley Tigers on Saturday night in Bracknell.
The Riders recorded
their first victory in Bracknell in 25 attempts since 1985 with a late
7-0 spurt which made the game safe at 82-93 late in the final quarter.
However it was credit
to the Tigers who fought hard after John McCord and Lee Walker (ankles)
and Tony Christie (shoulder) all missed the game through injury.
Riders Malcolm Leak
scored a game high 24 points. Simon Ogunlesi fired 21 for the hosts who
are now all but eliminated.
