Thames Valley Tigers moved into outright second place in the BBL Championship Southern Conference thanks to their 122-82 success over Edinburgh Rocks at Bracknell. 

It was level at 27-27 at the close of the first quarter but with ex-Edinburgh favourite John McCord scoring freely, the Tigers ran up bursts of 17-5 and 12-0 during the second period to move decisively ahead.

The American eventually compiled a game-best 31 points and when his side added a further 15-2 run after half-time, there was no chance that the Scots could recover as their hosts led by as much as 32.

Rock Winston scored 25 points for Edinburgh, Chris Webber chipping on 24.
