Thames Valley Tigers came from behind to beat the Derby Storm 87-74 in the NTL National Cup quarter-finals at Aston Villa. 

In what was a tight game throughout, Derby led 45-36 at the half and stayed well in contention in the third period. 

However, Tigers had a 9-3 run to start the fourth quarter, which saw them leading 73-63 with just over six minutes remaining. 

Derby trimmed it to six points at 74-80, but six of a possible eight free throws from John McCord sealed the game in favour of Paul James' side. 

McCord top scored with 29 points, to which he added 20 rebounds, while Derby's Antonio Garcia had 17 points and 16 rebounds.
