Garcia keeps Bullets
in Trophy hunt
Pertemps Bullets Birmingham kept alive
their hopes of reaching the quarter finals of the uni-ball trophy with
a 83-84 success over the Thames Valley Tigers.
The Bullets looked to have the victory
in the bag after a 8-2 burst gave them a 81-72 advantage late in the final
quarter. The Tigers, led by 30 points from John McCord had other ideas
however rattling off a 12-2 run to level the game at 83-83.
However Bullets' Antonio Garcia buried
the crucial free throw to secure the victory for the Bullets, his tally
of 17 second to Brant Bailey who notched 27.
