Sheffield Sharks held on to top spot in the BBL Northern Conference but needed overtime to get past Milton Keynes Lions 87-74 at Sheffield Arena. 

The two sides were level 68-68 at the end of regulation time - Sharks had enjoyed a 9-0 tear to lead 68-63, but Lions netted the final five points of the quarter thanks to Nigel Lloyd and Victor Payne. 

However, once in overtime, Sharks outscoring the Lions 19-6. 

Nate Reinking led all scorers with 29 points, although Merrill Brunson added 20 for the Lions.
