Westfield Sharks Sheffield moved back to the top of the BBL Championship Northern Conference with a thrilling 94-89 overtime success at home to title rivals, Chester Jets at Sheffield Arena.

It was the Sharks who started the brightest, leading 15-2 early on, before Jets fought back with a 15-2 tear of their own in the second quarter. 

By the end of the third period, Jets just edged it, 65-64 and the tense fourth quarter went almost basket for basket, with Nate Reinking scoring the final basket of regulation time with 20 seconds remaining to tie the scores at 76-76.

In overtime, the Sharks charged out to an 88-78 lead with a 12-2 tear to win and set up a tense finale to the season. Loren Meyer bagged 23 points for Chester, while Nate Reinking led all scorers with 26 for Sheffield.
