Natural
Flow Newcastle Eagles handed Westfield Sharks Sheffield their second BBL
Championship defeat of the season after coming from 14 down to win 111-106
after overtime in front of a 5,000 crowd at Newcastle Arena.
The Eagles trailed
from the second quarter onwards and looked set for defeat when they found
themselves were 58-72 adrift at the start of the final period.
But as Sharks wilted,
the hosts rallied back and a late flurry set up TJ Walker to tie things
up at 96-96 with 2.4 seconds left. Led by
25 points from Donnie
Johnson, Tony Garboletto's men went on to seal the victory in the extra
period.
Nate Reinking hit
a game-high 27 for the Sharks who still lead the Northern Conference.
Notes: Sharks' title
sponsors, Westfield Health, used the match to raise money for charity.
For every point scored in the game, £5 will go to Newcastle's local
NSPCC and the children's ward of Newcastle General Hospital.
