Eagles collected their second win over Brighton Bears in under a week with
a 97-81 success on Tyneside, assisted by a 33 point haul from All-Star
Donnie Johnson.
The Bears started
the stronger but 15 unanswered points late in the second quarter by the
home side saw them
go into the break with a 49-42 advantage.
TJ Walker made the
game safe in the fourth quarter with three successive three-pointers to
open up a 89-71 Eagles lead which was never in danger.
Kevin Wallace led
Brighton - who have already been mathematically eliminated from the play-offs
- on 24.
