Tallin trip brings Towers fifth seeding

London Towers returned from their Baltic trip with a fifth seed in the NEBL play-offs guaranteed after overpowering Kalev Tallin 67-82 in Estonia, finishing with an impressive 0-6 record

The beginning of the match was quite successful for the Estonian team. Two 3-pointers of Tanel
Kaljula gave the hosts a 15-9 lead and after the 1st quarter, they were still ahead 17-16.

Yet things got complicated for the Kalev players in the 2nd quarter as they couldn’t find any answer
to the Towers’ zone defence.

More than that, a 27-6 spurt of Randy Duck and Kendrick Warren got the BBL team ahead 45-27 at the halftime. In the third period Kalev managed to cut the margin to 11 points, but that was not enough, Duck leading the victors with 25 points,  Warren adding 19 and Eric Taylor 17.

Gerald Eaker collected 16 points for Kalev

"It was an important game for us. We didn't start well, but played good defense in the second quarter. That was decisive," said Towers coach Nick Nurse.
