Towers out-last the Playboys

London Towers kept up their push for a top five finish in the Northern European Basketball League with a 81-83 win at Honka Playboys in Finland.

Towers - ahead 37-44 at half-time - led for much of the contest but despite a strong first quarter they could never shake off their hosts. A Randy Duck three gave Towers a 78-74 lead and they stretched that out to seven with a minute remaining.

Anthony Allison gave Honka hope with a three before Steve Bucknall made the game safe with two free throws 28s from time. Allison bagged another three on the buzzer to trim Towers margin of victory.

Randy Duck led all scorers with 24 points, whilst the home side also had
trouble closing down Kendrick Warren and Steve Bucknall.
