Trophy hat-trick
Teesside Mohawks completed an historic
hat-trick of consecutive NBL Men's Trophy crowns at Sheffield Arena, defeating
Inter-Basket London 95-58 in the 2001 final.
Rushing in front from the start, Tony Hanson's
troops were ahead 41-25 at half-time against an inexperienced capital side
which never truly got into its stride, their top scorer Junior Alexander
with just 12 points.
Mohawks entered the final period 62-41
in front and put on the style as Ralph Bucci racked up a game-high 25 points
tally, Corey Jackson adding 16.
