Solent Stars are still seeking their first win of the regular Conference season after a 86120 defeat at the hands of the in form Worthing Thunder. Plymouth Raiders bounced back from last weeks one point defeat to hold off Manchester Magic, 94 84 and Coventry Crusaders took third place in the table after a close 10298 win against the Sutton Pumas. Teesside Mohawks and InterBasket London did not play this weekend due to a bout of flu in the Capital.
Oxford Devils continued to dominate Mens Division One, ending Westminster Warriors winning streak, 90 71. Both Reading Rockets and Kingston Wildcats kept the pressure on the top team with wins against Birmingham Aces (92 68) and Liverpool (88 81) respectively.
Once again Derbyshire Arrows were successful with an 84 60 win at Swindon Sonics despite having just a one point advantage at the half. Ealing are hot on their heels after a convincing 98 65 win at Taunton Tigers. Mansfield Express put last weeks defeat against Arrows behind them to beat South London Bulls 98 67, with an outstanding 9 three pointers helping towards Dylan Boggs game high 34 points. A close game at the Haltemprice Sports Centre saw Hull Icebergs beat Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Panthers by just 6 points, 76 70.
North London won both home and away beating Ware Rebels 85 82 and Northampton Neptunes 83 66. Their successful weekend sees them catch the Rebels in the table with both teams on 14 points.
Worcester Wolves came out on top as they beat Bristol Bombers 79-73. The Bombers clawed back froma
43 27 half time deficit to come within just 6 points. Both teams have an 11 and 2 record but with a better points difference (216pts) the Wolves are on top.In Women's Division One, Sheffield Hatters had mixed fortunes facing a double header without top scorer, Sharon Castanada who was injured in the ntl National Cup Final at Sheffield Arena last weekend. Spelthorne Acers had the upper hand at Ponds Forge with a 68 56 victory whilst it was the Hatters that came out on top at Coventry Quality Cats, 68 49. Rhondda Rebels recorded their tenth regular season win, 89 31, keeping NW London Amazons to just 11 points in the first half. Thames Valley Lady Tigers kept the pressure on the top of the table team recording a 94 45 win at Bracknell L.C. Ipswich Bobcats sealed a home victory with a 76 68 win over Wandsworth Sting.
Plymouth Racers proved that its not just the Raiders at the top of their game on the south coast as they remain at the summit of Womens Division Two following a close fought 56 51 win over Stockport Lapwings. Brighton Magic moved into third place with a 66 50 victory against Chelmsford Swifts whose Cadette team progressed to the final of their cup with a 72 63 over Rhondda Rebels.
