So much
for going into Saturday's uni-ball trophy semi-final on a winning roll.
Sheffield Sharks
picked up their third loss in succession on Wednesday night, crashing 98-88
at Milton Keynes, the Lions coach Nigel Lloyd hitting 23 points as his
team led from start to finish.
Lions opened up the
game with a 30-14 quarter and rarely looking in trouble after that. The
Sharks did trim
back to 59-57 late in the third quarter, but Lloyd, who was perfect in
9
floor shots, hit
back-to-back threes to re-establish the Lions advantage.
Peter Scantlebury
top scored for Sheffield with 22.
