The performance
of the season so far ? Quite probably.
Jason Siemon may
have had his critics but the American centre has flourished since joining
Milton Keynes, his finest career showing starting the New Year with a bang
in the Lions 107-97 defeat of Newcastle Eagles.
The former Thames
Valley star captured an astonishing double-double preformance with 34 points
and 32 rebounds as the Lions ended their visitors' eight game winning streak
on Wednesday night.
The Lions opened
up a 34-22 lead at the first break and scored the first 13 points of the
second
to take control
of the game.
Both sides were without
influential players with Andrew Alleyne (knee) and Tony Windless (rib)
sidelined through injury but even though the Eagles were close at 53-48
at half-time, Nigel Lloyd's men pulled clear, Merrill Brunson adding 22.
TJ Walker led Newcastle
with 27.
