Milton Keynes
Lions picked up their second win in as many days, with this 78-72 success
at
home to Brighton
Bears.
Lions had the better
of the play in the first quarter - a 15-0 start to the game helping them
to a 29-12 lead heading into the second period. However, Bears fought back
bravely and three baskets from outside the arc from former Lion Michael
Brown went a long way to bringing the Bears back into the game, trailing
by just six points at half-time.
They built on that
in the third quarter with 13 unanswered points to start the quarter and
led the
Lions 48-55.
However the hosts
left it late but made their run as ten straight points took the score from
66-66 to a 76-66 Lions' lead and they did not relinquish that advantage.
Jason Siemon led
the way with a game-high 24 points for Milton Keynes, while Wilbur Johnson
scored 21 for Brighton.
