Westfield Sharks Sheffield have one hand the Northern Conference title after a hard fought 84-95 success over the Manchester Giants on Saturday night at MEN Arena. The Sharks victory twinned with the Chester Jets defeat against Towers makes the Yorkshiremen favourite for the title. 

The visitors ran up a 20-28 lead after the opening quarter but some strong shooting from Manchester allowed Andre Alleyne's side to level at half-time. 

However Sheffield soon took control and kept Giants at arms length with the hosts now apparently doomed to miss out on the play-offs.

Zac Bennett scored 18 points for the Sharks, while Justin Phoenix once again top scored for the Giants with 27.
