Riders secured a valuable away win in the BBL Championship this evening,
edging closer to the play-off spots with an 81-88 success over Manchester
Giants at the Manchester Velodrome.
Visiting Riders led
from the first quarter, during which time the hometown Giants could only
bag 13 points to Riders 25. Leicester maintained their advantage over the
next two quarters, although Giants
rallied and pulled
ahead in the final quarter. their lead was short-lived, however, and Riders
hung on for the win.
Larry Johnson led
all scorers with 26 points for Riders, although England international,
Julius Joseph, scored 25 for the home side.
