Maclean career ends in defeat

There was to be no happy exit for Edinburgh Rocks stalwart Iain Maclean as the veteran Scot ended his career in defeat, Manchester Giants defeating his side 92-75 at the Velodrome.

Edinburgh led early on but once Giants got in front in the second quarter they never relinquished it. Julius Joseph was in fantastic form, he led all scorers with 28 points as Giants ran away with the game in the middle quarters.

Leopards signed off their home campaign in fine style, defeating arch-rivals  London Towers 101-86.

Leopards had a 13-4 run to lead 42-33, but it was the third quarter in which they really blew the game open. Jason Kimbrough and Rashod Johnson, returning from injury, both bagged a pair of threes in an 18-4 tear which had the Leopaeds 70-52 clear. Rico Alderson led the way with 28 as Leopards eased home in the final period.
