Manchester Giants moved to within two points of the Newcastle Eagles in
third place of the BBL Championship Northern Conference with a comfortable 93-83 victory over the Edinburgh Rocks.

After trailibng 16-21 after the first period. the Giants rattled off nine unanswered points in the second quarter to open up a double figure advantage which they were never to relinquish. 

The Rocks - who have now lost 17 in a row - stayed in touch throughout mainly thanks to a game high 26 points haul from Ted Berry. Justin Phoenix and Brian Earl replied with 19 for the hosts who have a re0match at Meadowbank on Sunday.
