Chester Jets defeated Manchester Giants 79-88 in their BBL Championship game at the MEN
Arena in Manchester this evening. 

However, it was a close throughout - typical of a local derby - and it took a 10-0 tear at the start of the fourth quarter to break open the game. Loren Meyer was in inspirational form - he netted a game-high 28 points on the way to Jets' 14th victory of the season. Chester are now just two points shy of Northern Conference leaders, Westfield Sharks Sheffield. 

Manchester - who were led by 23 points from Justin Phoenix - stay fourth in the North.
