London Towers extended their year-end lead at the top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference to two points thank to a 81-71 victory at home to Brighton Bears. 

Nick Nurse's team never trailed to the Bears all game, although they were given a scare in the final quarter - a 17-3 run inspired by Brighton's Kevin Wallace, levelling up the score at 68-68. 

However, Towers re-established their advantage to win the game and maintain the pace in the BBL. 

Steve Bucknall was the Towers top marksman with 21 points, although the game's best scorer was Brighton's Wilbur Johnson who bagged 22.
