London Towers
collected their 20th win of the campaign with a 92-82 success over Pertemps
Bullets Birmingham and in so doing are one win away from becoming the first
team to formally clinch a Southern Conference play-off berth.
Despite 35 minute
delay at the start the Towers started strongly and lead by 12 at the end
of
the first quarter
before 11 points in the second period from England international Yorick
Williams
gave Bullets a half-time
advantage 46-48.
Birmingham coach
Lance Randall was called for a techinical foul with 2.54 left, which saw
the Towers bag four quick points and open up an 81-74 lead. With Kendrick
Warren getting 14 of his game leading 26 points in the last period Towers
never looked back and can now book a post-season spot with either a victory
at Newcastle on Friday or a win at Manchester the following day.
