London Leopards
moved to the top of the BBL Championship Southern Conference with a 97-88
home victory over Pertemps Bullets Birmingham at Brentwood.
The turning point
in the game came in the third quarter, when Leopards built up a ten-point
advantage thanks to a 7-0 tear, which opened the quarter after a close
first half which had ended 43-40 in the hosts' favour.
Leopards' backcourt
partnership of Rashod Johnson and Jason Kimbrough combined for 47 points,
while Michael Martin continued his impressive form by adding a double double
of 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Brant Bailey led
the way for the still-struggling Bullets with a game-high 25 points.
