Lions poop Riders homecoming

Milton Keynes Lions spoiled Leicester's homecoming part on Sunday, the Riders crashing to a 79-86 loss in their first game back at Loughborough after over a decade away.

A final quarter charge, which included a 0-9 tear by the Lions decided the game, this after the Riders had led 67-58 after the third stanza.

Earlier, the Riders had stole ahead in the second quarter as 12 unanswered points took them from tied at 33-33 to leading 45-33. Riders maintained their momentum in the third and looked on course for victory before the Lions struck.

Summer recruit, Merrill Brunson, top scored with 25 points, ahead of Victor Payne, who bagged 18 for Milton Keynes. Leicester's top
marksman, was Larry Johnson who netted 22 on his return to the Riders' side from injury.
