Lions spoiled Leicester's homecoming part on Sunday, the Riders crashing
to a 79-86 loss in their first game back at Loughborough after over a decade
away.
A final quarter charge,
which included a 0-9 tear by the Lions decided the game, this after the
Riders had led 67-58 after the third stanza.
Earlier, the Riders
had stole ahead in the second quarter as 12 unanswered points took them
from tied at 33-33 to leading 45-33. Riders maintained their momentum in
the third and looked on course for victory before the Lions struck.
Summer recruit, Merrill
Brunson, top scored with 25 points, ahead of Victor Payne, who bagged 18
for Milton Keynes. Leicester's top
marksman, was Larry
Johnson who netted 22 on his return to the Riders' side from injury.
