Riders defeated London Towers 107-86 on Sunday, inflicting the Southern
Conference champions their heaviest Championship defeat of the season.
However, it was the
Towers who started the brighter. They led 28-18 after the first quarter,
before Riders' Ralph Blalock's eight points in a row inspired the Riders
on. They enjoyed a 16-2 tear to lead 44-39 and extended their lead in the
third with a 7-0 run.
London hit back with
Kendrick Warren bagging seven points in a row, before he was ejected from
the game with six minutes to go.
Riders made the result
certain with a 13-0 final quarter tear to lead 94-76 and they never looked
back.
Blalock led all scorers
with 31 points; Wayne Henry bagged 23 for the Towers.
