Leicester Riders stepped up their efforts to make the playoffs with a comfortable 116-75 victory over the Edinburgh Rocks on Saturday night, a result which leapfrogged Billy Mims men over Manchester and into the fourth play-off berth in the North.

The Riders took control early doors racing into a 29-18 first quarter advantage and when they extended that to 57-40 at the half time interval the result was beyond doubt. 

Riders guard Larry Johnson led all scorers with 41 points as his side finally made the game safe with a 16-2 burst late in the third quarter.

Jo-Jo Chambers led Edinburgh with 23.
