Brighton
Bears resurgence in form continued with their third win on the bounce,
taking an 85-98 victory at Leicester Riders.
The game was nip
and tuck throughout but a 6-0 burst late in the third quarter by the Bears
just edged them ahead 65-59. Riders trimmed back to just one in the final
quarter but some errant free throw shooting by the home side allowed the
Bears to re-establish a comfort margin.
As Riders chased
the game in the final minutes, the Bears sealed the win with nine of the
last 11 points.
Riders - without
Malcolm Leak who is still sidelined with a knee injury - were led by Purnell
Perry's 27 points
while Demetric Reese had 25 for the Bears.
