Leicester top Bullets

Leicester Riders moved top of Group B in
the uni-ball trophy thanks to this 100-91 success at home to midland rivals,
Pertemps Bullets Birmingham.
It was a game that Riders led throughout
- 21-14 at the end of the first period - and although Bullets, led by Brant
Bailey rallied with a 2-12 second quarter run, they still trailed 26-23.
A 14-4 tear in the third quarter extended
Riders lead to 57-49 and while Bullets brought it back to 72-67 in the
final quarter, they could get no closer as their form continues to perplex
coach Lance Randall.
Larry Johnson top scored with 28 points,
while Bailey had 26 for the Bullets, who are still searching for their
first win in the competition.
