Kendrick Warren continued his fine scoring form for London Towers in the Euroleague but even his 26 points could not stop the British side from a second loss of the competition on Thursday night.
Towers went down 88-95 at home to Yugoslavian champions Buducnost who ran up a 2-12 burst in the first quarter and never looked back.
Warren, who bagged 14 points in the first half - 11 of which came in the second quarter alone kept the hosts in contention, even after they trailed 41-55 at half-time but although his side managed to trim the deficit to single figures in the second half, they could not get over the hump.
Dejan Tomasevic led the scoring with 29 points for Buducnost (2-1) while Steve Bucknall scored 21 for the Londoners (1-2).
In other group D matches, played on Wednesday, PAOK Thessalonika stayed top of the group, having won all three of the Euroleague games so far, the latest a 100-70 defeat of Frankfurt 100-70.
Verona moved into second place with a narrow 94-90 home win over Barcelona.
